Sand dollar

Post by Cracker Red »

Just a simple sand dollar. Messing around with some new metal shaping stuff I picked up. This is fun!

Approx 10" across. 18G scrap I had and a few minutes with a hammer/bag and then planishing out the marks.

Hi Tom! (TA from metal meet)

It was some 18g scrap I had. Cut out the shape and though did give it some dimension. First piece of metal I've ever tried to shape (hammer/bag/hammer)

Well first time you made it like a pro I think that is just great.
I have been wanting to do some work like that I have a small helve hammer and planishing hammer that would make it easy.
I just have not made the time to do it. Being on the gulf coast of Florida the sand dollar would fit right in. Along with the turtle from other posts.

Have fun
Tom
