I'm curious if you'd be willing to post the DXF file and... what angle did you bend the fan blades to?

No problem
There are 2 sizes 16" and 13" blades and a sun faced tail fin.
I cut 2 parts from 1/4" to make a jig for bending the blade fins the angle is about 32 degrees.
The jig fits on the blade around each blade fin and holds it so when you bend the outside does not bend too.
There is a jig for both sizes.
PM if you want other pictures or descriptions.

have fun
Tom

My only response is simply this.... W O W !!!!!!! Very impressive !!! It never ceases to amaze me what talents are out there and the willingness of members on this site.

Do you have any close-ups of the hub? I'm just wondering if you used small bearing for the fan hub and the "T" where the post pivots....

Thanks so very much !!!

That looks great. Do you have any pictures of a finished product (windmill). It would be neat to see it completed.

Here you are the hub is ?? pipe turned to use a 608-2rs bearing (skate board 2RS is rubber seal). The bearing fit should be just finger push in so it will spin freely, a press fit will put drag on the blade bearings. The shaft is 8mm rod turned down and threaded 5/16? 16. The main and upright rods are ?? steel with the main drilled out to 8mm for the bearing shaft. I used a steel tube with ?? inside diameter and a 5/16? steel ball on top for the rotational pivot. The 1/2 shaft was polished smooth with a slight amount of grease.

Funny thing I ddid 2 one 13" and the other 16" I did not pay attention when I bent the blades. And one is to the left and the other is to the right and they behave differently. I wonder if its the spin of the earth's direction above the equator thing?????    The devil made me say that!
