I went over to Mikes shop this morning to use his planishing hammer he won from Baileigh in a contest on this forum. I watched him convert this the coloring book page to a file that could be etched and the process was fairly quick and I could not have done it in ten years! He is as good on the computer as he is with his metal work! Also saw a rose he made yesterday and is not quite finished with but if you guys bug him enough he will put up a picture of it I'm sure.

Very nice.
I have been experimenting with my scribe also. I'll post in a separate post though.

Looks real good Sarge! I watched the video and noticed the plate you were marking had a slight bow to it. Did this happen during the engraving process? If so, how do you control your depth of cut on the marker if there is some warpage without any type of height control.

My guess on depth of cut. The depth is controlled by air pressure. The scriber will ride up (to some degree) over a hump. It is not a fixed height.

Lets see if I'm right. :)

Just curious, what program did you use to convert this? It turned out great.
