Experimenting with Plate Marker

Post by tnbndr »

Had created the text part years ago and never did anyting with it. Now that I have a table with a plate marker I finally decided how to finish it.
I used machinists blue dye over the cards to get some color into the engraving and then ground the surface so it was shiny. Doesn't show well in the pics.

That looks great! Great attention to detail!
I too bought a table from Dan - last January. Been getting into it a lot since late May. Love it - great table. I had a steep learning curve because I had never done anything remotely close to this before. I bought the spindle, but haven't taken the time to play with it yet - still learning how to do the plasma thing. :D
