Beer Label for my Priest

Post by radnurse68 »

My family attends Trinity Episcopal Church and the Priest brews his own beer. He had his own labels made up and wanted a sign of it. Made of 12ga mild steel and powder coated glossy black. He plans to display it on his patio. 30x30. By the way what would you guys charge for one like this?

Great subject and transfer of the imagery. It's like that logo was made for cutting in metal. Really like the results! As far as the charge... that's a bit tricky imo. I think barter is making a comeback in this world and can't think of a more satisfying payment then a 6-pack a month enjoyed throughout the year, sampling his latest seasonal batch. That sign looks so good, it could put him on the map.

I'm doing a sugar skull for a local restaurant and I'm bartering for food credit and hopefully if customers like the design it could be a couple sales in the future. I do a lot of bartering, I got my Miller 875 plasma cutter by trading my Benelli shotgun and an old gold ring.

Thanks for the comments! Trading for the Beer samples would be a great idea had I not got into this business to give me something to do besides drink....I had gotten into the habit of coming home from work and sitting in the man cave drinking and watching tv until I fell asleep until I had an accident in the rain about 18 months ago. Car hydroplaned and flipped on the interstate. Luckily no one was injured. DWI number 2. Haven't had a drink since that day. Sold my BMW 645ci convertible and got into the metal business as a hobby. I got a second chance so I give the scrap metal and wood that I use a second chance. Ironically I chose to go with Arclight Dynamics for my cnc table and when I went to their shop in Bend, Oregon I learned that Scott and his manager both worked together at a Rehab facility prior to building cnc tables. Weird how things happen. On the price issue I only charged him $200 for the sign including powder coating. Using the excel spreadsheet pricing sheet it came to about $265. I've never been sure if that formula is including any type finish.....either way I gave him a great deal but I also learned a lot while doing it.

Thanks again,

Steve

Awesome Cut! His labels look like they were drawn to be cut and you did a GREAT job. I got a email from Scott and Steve at Arclight today. It said MY TABLE HAD SHIPPED !!! I purchased the ARC9600. Hope to someday do work as nice as this cut.
Thanks for sharing
