This is my first semi-successful attempt at converting a picture.

Need to create a file to cut something for a friend that flew a UH-1 in Vietnam for a couple years & still flies today.

Attached is what I ended up with.

I used the trace function in Inkscape. Any suggestions as to how I could pull a little more detail out of the picture?

If a manual trace, Inkscape, CorelDraw, AutoCAD, Draftsight? Have them all . . .

Improvements, alterations, enhancements welcome . . .

from what I see there is not much more you could get out of that image. Maybe separation the right skid from the nose of the chopper.

Try this method on the link in Corel Draw. You can get all the detail you want and then save it as a dxf file.

Sorry CNCCAJUN, as a Canadian prairies boy from the post Vietnam era I'm not exactly sure of the finer points of detail on a Huey chopper, but see what you think of this and make any changes you want.
