Member of forum has passed away

Post by CNCCAJUN »

I want to let everyone on Plasmaspider know that my husband Steve AKA: CNCCAJUN, passed away on March 10th after having a heart attack. I know he has been a pretty active member on this forum & did not want him to disappear from the site with no explanation.

Steve had been working on starting a CNC Plasma business “Smiling Gator Metal Works” for a few years even though he was still working & saving the money to do this. About 1 ½ years ago he decided to focus full time on getting his shop built & getting it equipped. He wanted to be able to “finish” what he cut & had just about finished his paint booth the week before he passed away.

Steve loved this forum not just for the shared files but for all the info available to him such as solving table set up problems, selecting equipment as well as, drawing & finishing techniques. He would often download files to cut something on his table while he was still in his “learning to draw & convert drawing phase”. Hope I stated that correctly, I know he really valued what he was learning from everyone on this site.

Steve was a problem solver so where he could he tried to offer advice on what he had learned himself when selecting equipment or techniques he had picked up.

Thanks to everyone on this site who offered advice or allowed Steve to offer his own !!!

I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. You have my deepest condolences.
He was a very active member of this forum and his presence and the smiling gator will be missed.
It's sad that he was not able to fulfill his business dream. But, it's good to hear he was enjoying himself to the end.
Thank you very much for taking the time to up-date us all.

I am so sorry for your loss. Steve and I bounced a bunch of ideas around and he helped me with my setup with my setup. We both joked around about getting our chores done so we could have time in the shop. He will be missed and remember for the great person he is.

Thanks for letting us know, condolences to yourself and family.

Steve will be sorely missed around here for sure. 1125 posts is clear evidence Steve was an active participant and always keen to learn and share within this community so without having ever met Steve face to face I can only assume this is the way Steve was and the way he participated in life in general.

Very very sorry for your loss, and thanks for coming here to let us know, that's very kind of you.

This has indeed came as a shock, Steve was such a regular here and it's going to seem very strange knowing he'll no longer be posting.

He was always helpful and appreciative, I'm sure many members are going to miss him.

Take care,

Keith.
