Mechanical pointer for hypertherm duramax torch

Post by KM Koncepts »

I've designed a drop in Billet Aluminum mechanical pointer that can be used to precisely locate a datum point on any table using a hypertherm torch. We designed in house and this has allowed my company with repeatability, which makes for precise parts and happy customers. This can be dropped into machine torches and hand held torches. This is precisely machined and MADE IN THE U.S.A. I've used this to locate off a center of a bolt to accurately locate my cut area when I have a part that is bigger than my table. It can also be used to precisely locate if you are having to move a sheet and pick up from where you left off. These are available on my site http://www.kmwfabrication.com/shop . I have some others being designed and tested for other commonly used plasma units. All feedback will be greatly appreciated and I hope I can pass on the accuracy that has helped me grow as a business to others like me.

Lol yeah I didn't know they had one already. When I asked my local rep if they had anything of the sort I was told no and designed this one up. On the forums I could only find the laser attachments from a drill press nothing mechanical.

The one from Hypertherm is $112 at Bakers... If this was cheap I might buy one too.

For the SL-100 torch, and 9-8218 exposed tip cup.. Pretty much all Thermal dynamics/Victors use that torch for 13/14 years..

Cool..
There are a few of those out there too..

I could send you a cup, and tip for something to pattern it off of..They have a shielded cup too. 9-8237.. It could give you some options on how you build it.. Half the people use exposed, and the other half use shielded. Most will have a Unshielded cup laying around.. I use both, so not sure where I fit in..

Thank You! Look forward to it. I try to keep the price reasonable. It's not a wear item but if for some reason one was to be damaged or lost its not gonna break the bank to replace it.
