help wiring a 45xp to proma 150 and Gecko g540

Post by bigforkg »

I have looked and found nothing far as the 45xp. My setup. Gecko G540, proma 150 and 45xp Mach3 and sheetcam. It appears to me like connector sockets 3,4 and 5(-),6(+) was switched around by Hypertherm. I could use some help, I don't want to burn up any electronic components.

Where does the 45xp Start machine motion 12,14 go? Start plasma 3,4 go?
Proma 150 Arc go on the G540? output 5?

I have the 45xp Voltage divider 5(-)6(+) the Proma 150 power connection and its voltage divider+,- input, the up, dwn and com figured out.

This is what I do know from the 45xp manual. Start plasma 3,4. Start machine motion 12,14. Voltage divider 5,6. Ground 13.
Proma 150. Outputs: up, Arc, Dwn, com. Power connection + - and arc divider +,-.
Gecko 540: 1,2,3,4 inputs. 5,6 output 12 ground.

Taking a part from vendor A then interfacing it to vendor B and then to to the third vendor , the plasma cutterm will require you find someone that has done that exact hookup and made it work. Someone I am sure has done this but they may not check the list every day,

Sorry to tag along but I have Hypertherm 45xp, proma 150, and using sheetcam & mach3. I put the proma in test and my torch goes up and down correctly. My question is do I need to calibrate the proma. I saw a video showing that but I don’t know where they got the # to calibrate to. On a 45xp they said to put it at 170??
