P cam acting up

Post by ryno fab »

For some reason my pcam is not sensing that my torch is cutting. It pierces and starts the cut just fine but then it runs about 6" and pops up an error. I disabled the " wait for cutting signal" box and used the test button to pierce to get the job done. Wiggled wires. Changed the torch hardware. Dh2 hypertherm 65. Any sugestions.

Ryno, what error message are you getting? I am still new here but it seems that these type of things usually turn out to be a grounding or consumable issue. Craig Johnson

I always leave on (checked) ?Wait for signal before cutting? on the ?Machine Control? tab and the ?Sense material to zero? and "Raise and lower between cuts" and ?Use torch height control? on the ?Height Control? tab of the ?Settings? window.

is table grounded?

I also found that if splatter gets up inside that happens as well...

but what is the exact error, it will help.

Try a complete reboot of computer, table and plasma cutter.
