ive got a new problem with my go torch i have the plasma cam basic height controll and it was working great till now i have it set to stall on material to zero but it is stoping about a 1/2 above the material and trying to cut ive pulled it all apart and cleaned the feed screw my z axis shift is set to zero i havent changed anything with the software any help would be appreciated

I also have the basic height control, but I've never used the "stall on material to zero". I go off the last cut height, and auto zero the arc voltage occasionally. When you do it that way, you jog the z axis down to the top of the material, auto zero the height, which tells the machine that is where the top of your material is, then it knows to cut 1/16th above where you zero from. And also remember to auto-zero the arc voltage on the next cut. Takes out the guesswork and produces better cut quality.
