Stepper Motors for High Acceleration?

Stepper Motors for High Acceleration?

Was just wondering if there are stepper motors that are designed for high acceleration for making turns at the same cut speed as regular linear motion moves.
That seems to be the only areas that I have a lot of dross.
Max cut speed I can get out of my Baileigh PT-22 with Hypertherm Powermax 45 is 275 IPM
Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

have you tried the hypertherm low speed cut charts?
its not what your asking for, but if you have not tried them check it out

When I look at the chart, I notice that it has * beside the 16Ga which translates to Not Dross free cut but on all the rest on the chart are considered dross free at these settings.
Can someone answer the reason for this?

Sometimes we run into materials that simply have no dross free speed zone. We gave our process engineers the task of creating the best cut chart for speeds below 150 ipm, and they did pretty well on most of the thicknesses. The 16 gauge that we had for testing may have had different metallurgy....which you normally overcome by increasing speed.
