Question

Post by wilber »

I downloaded a file called hummingbird welcome sign from here. I opened it up to make sure it was nice and clean. Loaded it in sheet cam it looks great. I ran a post process for dynatorch. All of sheet cam worked. I loaded the tap file in dynatorch and the file had a weird line in it that was not in there in draftsignt, aspire, or sheet cam. Here is a copy of the job file from sheet cam. Could you tell me if i am missing something?

Thank you in advance for your help,

William

Are you getting a EXTRA line that shows up when cutting, like in wasting material. Does not show up in sheetcam or in the drawing?

I did, & I know in AutoCAD if the line was there it would show up when you go zoom/extents.

I got the same thing & I am using SigmaNest. Thought it was SigmaNest. . .

Only once so far, but it was very aggravating . . . :x

This is not fixing the root of the problem but can you not just delete the gcode that makes up the unwanted line. Don't know anything about Dynatorch software but I'm guessing you can dry run through the code until it gets to the unwanted line, then you can delete that portion of code.

If this only shows up in the gcode after post processing then could this be something for Les himself to check out. Is the post processor doing something it shouldn't.
