Array Function

Post by grindergary »

I am trying to array a bunch op parts for a job. They are to make a partition.

I am trying to array the parts in sheetcam, but cannot figure how to get them to be equal on the sheet.

If i use array, they start at bottom and go up the sheet with fill material checked. Any ideas on how to get them evenly spaced on a sheet?

Thanks for any help.

In the "Array Parts" pop-up screen you can set the origin of the first part by setting the X1 Y1 dimensions in the "Array area".

Then you can select the distance between each part in the "Part Spacing". I usually leave the "Gap Between Parts" checked and use about .188".

See photos for reference.

No problem.

Here is the same part using the "Grid Spacing" setting on a 3" grid.

Here is what I was trying to do. This worked out great.

These Flur del lis are for a customer who teaches painting classes. The left over is for her partner who wanted it for a partition wall in the class room.

They are cut from 16 gauge CR and are
about 6x8" each.

Everyone is happy so now maybe I can get some time to cut for myself!

Thank you for your help.

Gary
