Looks great, very detailed . . .

Would make one change to improve it and perhaps make it more marketable.

Design the bottom edge where you currently have the coat hooks located to allow store bought "cast" coat hooks to be mounted. Basically design the bottom edge to compliment and accept the store bought hooks, holes and all.

You eliminate welding, add value, add to overall appearance, easier to ship and most important the store bought hooks are less likely to damage the coats.

You can get them @ Home Depot, Lowes, etc . . .

Just a thought . . .

thanks for the thot and its a good thot except I live an hour and half away from any of those stores..special trip to go to the city. But all in all a good thot. I like the hand made look to be honest welding and all.

I understand, I never think logistics. I have always lived in or very near a somewhat large city. :(

But now that you mention hand made, perhaps a small round disc (1/2" to 3/4") mounted horizontally on the end of the hook to support the coat.

Now that better than my first suggestion . . . :D

Sure sounds great...I'll stick to my original design 25 strong on the design and not one person has said it harmed any fabric...I cut them out of .250 and round all edges off with belt sander so basically just like a hook you would buy from well anywhere...but yes I have made hooks like that before.

Well see there is my "newbie" ignorance showing through . . .

I would have never thought of using 1/4" steel plate?

That has got to give a really massive look.

Please ignore my earlier suggestions.

I'm over here thinking 16 GA & 14 GA . . .sorry . . .

I should have known that anybody with a name like SuperOverEngineered would not make anything out of 14Gauge . . . :D
