Glow in the dark Ghost Yard Stake

Post by MetalheadRK »

Here is another Halloween item that we made for our yard this year. Thought it was cute and wanted to share!

Lowes and Home Depot both carry the Rustoleum Glow-in-the-dark paint. It's about $10 a can.
I also used it to make these life size characters that we are also going to put in the yard.
We added some LED red blinking lights on each piece for the eyes. They were a lot of work
but I think they turned out pretty kewl!

Great idea. I'm going to have to make something like it. This file locks up my Torchmate software when I try and open it. Any one else have issues? I've had files from here that are screwy before, but never one that locks up when opening it.

It's a pmc file and I can't figure out how to convert it to a dxf. Can someone do that?

Are the two skeletons mounted to the fence? I don't see any stakes for either of them.

No actually I bought some wooden stakes and painted them black. You can't even tell they are there!
We welded a "box" on the back so the stake slide in and tightens with a screw to hold it in place.

Nice! I've been wanting to try the glow in the dark powdercoat, but not sure how well it would work. Only one way to find out I guess!

The eyes, eyebrows and mouth are actually glued on to the front. They are all separate pieces. I used Loctite Go2 Glue. stuff works great.
