ThreeBears

Post by art&fire »

I made this fire log grate for a friend of mine.
He and his Buddies' have a Hunting Cabin
in Ontario, Canada and they named it "3 Bears"
All he wanted was the grate. Simple right? Oh NO, not
on my watch. So I added the little extra touch.
THE THREE BEARS

The ThreeBear design is hinged, so it can be folded down
in order to load wood on the fire.

The File can be easily used for many projects....
such as a welcome sign or even a coat hanger.
It might come in handy for Christmas

Just curious, any concern about temperatures getting too hot for the cutout? What gauge is it.

Looks great btw.

I have no clue what the heat will do to the metal. Time will tell what the temperature does to the design. It is 11ga. right now only because that's what I had in stock. 3/16" or 1/4" would probably be better. My buddy can always come back to get a replacement. But a paying customer should get a more reliable gauge if there is an issue. Maybe someone here knows, how the heat will effect the design?
