Gun Rack

Post by jsd010 »

One of my students said he wanted to be "published." He really took to learning CAD and created this gun rack from our woodworking templates. He measured each of the pieces and then drew it up using Torchmate Cad. This was his first solo design and has tabs for bending. We don't have a break or an easy way to bend it so we have since done away with the 1 solid piece and now have the racks and bottom shelf separate to be welded on.

He went and bought some small plastic tubing from the local hardware store and put it on the racks to prevent scratching of the guns.

An AG teacher?

The word "GUNS" . . .in a school . . . :o

Is there a spot in the USA that has not been . . . . :( :( :(

If it doesn't snow there I am headed your way . .

Perk of being a small country school in Louisiana. Our SRO even brought his shotgun to us so that we could double check fit. I already give them the option to make one out of wood as their final wood project in AG II. Now I can add this to a cheap mig project out of 14 ga metal.

This looks like an awesome design that can be pretty simple. I'm just getting my TorchMate set up at the school that I teach at, and I can't wait to do some projects like this with my students.
