First Post, Couple Files Spartan and USAF CMSGT FS Stripe

Post by kkroger »

have snagged a few files in the past couple days, here is some payback, and thanks to all who have uploaded their work.
I made the Chief Stripe for a friend who is one of FEW Chief First Sergeants in the USAF. I think there may be 8 total...
He also recently got his PHD completed... and he has been published... It will be powder coated Misty Midnight on the facer and White on the backer and will hang in his office at the Base. He MAY become Command Chief also... he has been recommended.

Second is my personal logo, the original art was done for me years ago and my AR lowers had this as the roll mark.
It is my Avatar on a couple websites, and my company logo.
Image
This will be a Bronze on the Facer and a FLAT FLAT black on the backer.
there will be a standoff between facer and backer on both of these.

Good looking chief strips there.

Where are you stationed? I retired last year from robins afb, waiting on the wife to retire in December. Sort of joined the navy, GS position, heading to NAS meridian here in the next month or so.

Been out for YEARS I got out in March of 98, I currently work at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant.
Joe is still in and works here, As well he did a stint in the USMC as an Engineer.
He was a maintainer in the USAF and currently is the shirt for the Medical Group.

I should have given it a bit more character with some tooling and a freakin hammer!
Too Smooth!
Colors are "Prismatic Powders" Bronze Chrome, and Flatter Black both Polyesters.

Thought you might like to see the smiling face of the recipient of the Chief First Sergeant Stripe.

Awesome file and thank you for the share. I just had my fs I work with ask me to cut out a few items so they can give them away at going aways and what not. He was wanting something plain jane but I stumbled across this and I think he will like it so much better. How did you mate the two together? I didn't see any holes where you would bolt them so I figured you just used some glue after you powdercoated it. If so what kind of glue did you use? Thanks

The Larger one I made I used weld Nuts attached to the facer that space it half inch off the backer... Powder Coated both then bolted it from the back side.. On the Smaller one (in the pic) I used VHB Tape, half inch wide in multiple locations. Joe is a PHD as well as a CMSGT FS, he speaks at leadership conferences and uses this as a prop at the podium. Along with some Business cards for me since I am a USAF Veteran it could throw me some additional business.
