Perhaps these videos will help speed up your learning curve.

When other people convert pictures for you they have no idea how you plan to use them. When you do your own you can tell right away if the pieces you need look right or not. This speeds up your conversion time and sometimes takes some of the frustration out of a project.

Been working with files for years and still learning how and where to tweak the files. I try to run a verify on every part and still I miss something once in awhile!
It takes time to learn all the little ins and outs, each program has challenges of its own. :D :D

No its not ready cut for plasma. I have used this on the wood router because I engrave the inside. Let me see if I can help you out with this one.

Try this one and see if it is any better. The whites of his eyes and beak is cut out. The hairs on top of his head are thicker and attached. The other lines are just single cuts.

I had to play with both files a lot. First his legs fell off, then his hair kept falling off. So I made them all larger and got rid of some of the lines on the bottom. He is about 8.7" tall and it came out ok. Here is what it looks like if anyone wants to make their own
