Four Horsemen

Post by tomloewen »

I just finished this file and first and foremost I'd like thank Sam Todhunter for his amazing artwork! I used Sam's rendition of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse for reference to create this dxf file. And Sam was kind enough to give me permission to post my vector version of his artwork. I suggest you guys check out his website, he's a very talented fella! http://samtodhunter.deviantart.com/

And thanks again to Jason (MetalTorcher). I know basically nothing about the cutting process so Jason goes over my files to make sure they're ready to cut. Thanks Jason :D

I'm posting two versions of this file. The first version is scaled up so there should be little to no issues for plasma. The problem is though, this version will eat up a 4x8 sheet.

The second version is scaled down to 36" in height and can possibly be used as a railing insert.

Awhile back I was in touch Allan, (OTHill) and talking about railing inserts and we both had the same concerns, simply of someone getting a finger or hand caught in the cutout . . . a very real concern.

We spoke of the possibility of closing in one side with Plexiglas, but also concluded that Plexiglas was not a cheap solution. So I guess it boils down to what a customer wants to spend. Or does someone else have a solution to this?

If someone does cut this out, I'd REALLY appreciate if you could post a picture.
Thanks

NOTICE
Jason found a small issue with the original Horsemen file, so he fixed it and we're re-posting the file.

Fantastic work Tom, your passion for drawing really comes out in your designs. I look forward to cutting it out but may be a couple of weeks before I catch up and get time to do it.
Thanks

WOW!! Thanks for the file. I have to say that is one of the best (and cleanest cut ready files) I have seen on here for free. You could be making some scratch off of those, I am sure you put enough time into them that you should be getting paid. Thanks again for posting it. If I cut it I will definitely put up a picture. I am thinking the railing insert would make a great table top. I have a local woodworker guy that makes large tables out of barn timbers etc, and he is always buying stuff for the tops that are skulls etc. I bet this powdercoated with a large sheet of glass over it on top of a table made with barn timbers would look awesome.

Thanks again

Thanks for the file. I don't know what I will use it for just yet but I can only hope that whatever project I do make comes even close to doing your file justice.

Shane, you mentioned an insert for coffee tables. What would be an average size you would cut out?
