Just for Fun Puzzle

Post by Laser Chicks »

All these pieces fit together to form a square puzzle. It's just a matter of finding the correct way to do it. Have fun! :D

OK....to help save one's sanity, just one hint. Do any of the pieces get flipped over in order to solve the puzzle? A friend of ours laser cut the puzzle from 1/4" plywood, his family has given up on it and now he's brought it to our house where there are presently 3 people scratching their heads. It's definitely a good one. Any hints???

  Patience Grasshopper. It's kinda early for hints on this one. This one is actually not that tough, I will add another one that will really get your mind confused and if someone solves it I have one more that is even better - or worse depending how much you like a challenge :D

WOW what a puzzle, but it's solved. A visiting friend just wouldn't give up until he got it.

Thanks.

Our friend's son came by yesterday and saw it so he had to try it and DANG, he put it together in about 10 minutes. And it went together different than the way his dad did it. Too much for this old brain.

No, we haven't tried the rectangles...yet. A friend of ours cut out these with his laser and I guess I'll have to sic him on the rectangles. He cut out several of these and he sure has people scratching their heads.

Thanks again.

Happy to hear that you are having fun with that one ;)

If you are going to have the rectangular puzzle cut I would definitely recommend that your laser buddy cuts it as it needs a fairly accurate fit and the offsets need to be adjusted to make the pieces fit well and lasers are a bit more accurate than a plasma. On our laser we have the offsets at 0.055 and that number works like a charm for us. ;) Good luck with that one and let me know when you get it figured out :D

Just one question on this, please. When the puzzle is solved, is it a square? In other words, are the any of the protruding shapes on the outer perimeter? Thanks.

The puzzle will be square and there will be some shapes protruding on the outside. It will work without flipping any of the pieces upside down ;)
