My First Submisson

Post by Compnerd88 »

Had a customer request a "Flame Cat" design....this is what I came up with and figured I'd share. This was programmed to cut on a Waterjet just so you know

Here is a picture of one cut...The picture you see is of the initial program...I edited the spots i didn't think looked right and it should provide a better part than the one you see here.

Nice drawing Logan. What type of waterjet do you run, I have an Omax 55100.

I run a gantry style Flow machine. With a 10' x 20' foot table, hyperjet 100 pump setup running at 93,000 psi.

I'll try and post some pictures later :-)

I?m jealous! Which I had a 10' by 20' machine. Mine machine only cuts 27" by 40", and only wood for now ( no coolant).

Just a curiosity question. Did you use conversion software on this, or trace it ? I noticed the extremly low amount of elements in this drawing, and as you know a waterjet wants to go to every end point. This would cut very quick with all those smooth arcs.

Nice Observation...

Some elements of the face were traced, the rest was hand drawn by me. Its completely original :-)
