awesome star ! but im not seeing the dxf if anyone could post it i would greatly appreciate it. i wish i was able to contribute but im still a newbie with the file drawing maybe hopefully someday i can return the favor.

If you do a search their are several basic 3d stars in the file sharing section and you can simply add the other stars and circles or whatever you want to it and build your own version and then you can share it

I just uploaded a 3d star a couple weeks ago so go find it and modify to your likings.

I do agree the original one in this post was very cool looking but why on earth would you want to do the exact same thing when you can customize your own in about 10 minutes

I found the post with some info about the 3 d star here is some info I pulled from that download that may help.
See attached image with dimensions. Next DXF is of one part that can be opened in SheetCam and others added and aligned as needed. Along with adding cut outs inside as you like.

I had the dxf up for a long time in the original post, but I found two different companies claiming this file and another original I posted (and have since taken down) to be their own design. Or at least until I said something to them. I don't mind if files are used, but at least give credit where it's due or at the very least, don't claim them to be your own if you didn't draw it. It's a huge reason why I'm not on the forum very often anymore.

I made mine using the formula on the math link. Worked perfect for me. It looked tougher to figure than it really is.

Here is the file I used one is for the single point parts and the other is for 5 points parts.
I'm not crafty enough to bend the parts so I cut each piece for the points and tack them before assembly.

If you are not a paying member you cannot see or download the files.
For the fee of $20 per year you can download all the posted files from here from the start in a singular function.

(one at a time).
It may take a day for you membership to take effect

I downloaded the first DXF file in this thread. What is the distance from the table to the middle of the star? Just wanting to figure out how to make it all fit together.
