The pictures are of the prototype, these are the updated drawings. I will make the final one out of Stainless steel and install it on a stainless steel drum (will buy it used on craigslist).
The small U shape notches are to stop the latch, just punch out with a screw drive.
There is some parts that you have to bend, I do not have a picture of the last one I fabricated, but there is a T shape that is the magnet holder, bend it in a U. Screw this together with the door.
Any adjustments you do to the design for better, please share it here, always looking for improvements.
I have made it to fit a 55 gallon drum.
The top door has a magnet (part picture attached) to hold it, bought it on Home depot together with the thermostat and the piano hinges.
I used Hilti #12 self tap screws

The chickens come out great with a smoky flavor I think I can fit 4 or 5. I also did a baby pig there, came out fantastic.
