Q: Is the LCTHC any good?

Post by edclayton1 »

Hi,
I am building my own plasma table and trying to design it as I go. Can anyone tell me if the LCTHC sold by CANDCNC a good product to buy? I plan to use a Gecko G540. I understand that LC means lo cost. So would this be something I regret buying because it also means LQ??? Thanks Ed

I recommend the equipment Tom sells at candanc.
I had the MP 1000 and now after building another table, I bought the bladerunner set up with everything. Been 4 years and running great.

It is an extremely good THC with many factors

THC rate (speed of Z)
THC corrections (travel both positive and negative for max limits)
Tip saver (So it doesn't dip when tip volts spike out)
Anti-dive (Setting so it doesn't dive when cornering)
THC delay (setting for users to delay THC until the pierce is done and the plasma is in the cut path)
User can set Tip volts with the unit as well.

Cheapest complete THC in the world

Thanks for the advise. I just bought it based upon your recommendation. Also thanks for the settings info. I am sure that will come in very useful as well. Cheers, Ed

I have used mine for over 2 years and it has always been good to me. I just cant justify upgrading right now, so I will keep using it until I totally upgrade the electronics in the future.

I hate to link to another board, but I feel it would be useful for you to review my build. If you need any assistance, feel free to give me a PM.
