Fire pit fish
I'm doing up a logo and would love some advice on this fish to cut it out of a fire pit. I've traced some simple stuff but I'm not sure where to start here!! Thanks for any advice

Depending on what program you use for artwork, I use illustrator then export as dxf. A little trick i do, works for some but not everyone. Blur your vision as you look at the image. Identify and blend whites and lights and do the same with the darker colors then start tracing. On this one, Id combine whites, yellow and orange. Then combine black and maroon. Then adjust the image as needed to make it work. Hope that all made sense.

Not sure about Inkscape but in CorelDraw I would convert to black and white adjusting the slider until it looked how I wanted and then trace.

Re: Fire pit fish
Did it quickly in Corel as above still needs a check and tidy up. I'd probably also tie in some of the loose ends.
Took me longer to upload than actually do it.

Inkscape is free, download and install on your computer. Open the svg file in inkscape and do, File/save as/ select dxf from the drop down list of files supported and click OK. You now have it in dxf form.hat looks great do you have it in a dxf file
