In my market, I charged $200. That's my going rate for anything cut out of 1/2 sheet of 3/16. I also have students doing the work so I don't have overhead like others. I just have to cover the material and consumables for the next build. My community thought $200 is to high for it, but they also think that $40 for a custom 11 or 14 gauge unpainted 24" sign is highway robbery.seajinx wrote:What would you guy charge for one of these made of 3/16 Steel? Re: 1/4 Ball Pit
Thanks jsd010, I want to cut a couple of these but wasn't sure of the asking price. I know what you mean about people thinking we are overcharging them for custom work. I quoted a lady a price for a 24" Circular sign in 3D with lighted backing. Should have seen the look of surprise. I simply said, if you want custom, you have to pay for it. Thanks again for the feed back.
