newby needing help

Post by pcilse33 »

I want to buy some dxf art but I currently use Adobe Illustrator and can't get the files to open. Any suggestions on how to make Illustrator work or a name of a software product I can use.

Thanks for any help

Inkscape comes to mind and it's FREE!

Did you try to import them? I am pretty sure Adobe can do it.

You can do it with adobe Illustrator. Sometimes I find that certain older dxf files do not open properly, but easy fix. Convert the dxf to a pdf through online converter of your choice. Once you open the PDF in Illustrator remove the clipping masks then good to go!
