Is there a real kerf chart for a PM45? I know it's not the same torch as the PM65-105 so I'm guessing the kerf charts would be different?
I'm trying to help someone out and I have no way of measuring his kerf.

I did find this from Jim. Just had to dig a little deeper. It's 1/4" we are looking at so I'm guessing .066 is the real number.
Kerf width depends on the material thickness, the cut speed and the cut height as well as the consumables you are using. Generally I would expect:
.024" on 22 gauge, .043" on 18 gauge, .049" on 14 gauge, .051 on 10 gauge, .056" on 3/16".
Generally the kerf with the 30 amp parts will be about .006" to .010" narrower than with the Finecut consumables.

The kerf width chart for the Powermax65 and 85 will work for the Powermax45....just look at the 45 amp shielded info. It is attached. Jim Colt Hypertherm

One thing, sure wish Hypertherm used this format in the manual. Much easier to read, and no looking through more then one page to find the info you need..Kerf is in the same page as other cut parameters

I have a question. I'm new to plasma cutting. Is the kerf compensation based on the diameter of the kerf or the radius of the kerf? The reason I ask is my BobCad Cam software wants to know the diameter of the plasma stream for the offset. I also have Enroute Fabrication it has kerf compensation as well but I don't know if it want the diameter or radius, it doesn't specify.

The Hypertherm chart is the actual width of the cut with new consumables cutting at "book" specs. Some CAM software requires 1/2 of the actual width for an input for compensation, some will accept the full width. Jim Colt Hypertherm
