Stan - is that one of your Jumbo boards? Mine doesn't have that grid layout. Is that something you added?
Thanks,
David

Re: moutain_lake scene traced the paper diag
Stan - where are you sourcing your large paper drawings that you use for tracing? Do you purchase them commercially, or are you having them printed from photos specifically so that you can trace them using your Calcomp board?
Thanks,
David

I find the diagram and get a local print shop to print them up
or use my hp ink jet 24 inch

Re: moutain_lake scene traced the paper diag
Thanks Stan! That's sort of what I figured. That way you can get any drawing from a magazine, etc. and have them blow it up and print it out for you to the size you wish to trace it. My hand is not as steady as yours, so I normally do the manual tracing on the computer. But it's lots of fun to do - either way. But I do use the Calcomp boards from time to time for special applications.vancematsalla wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 9:18 pm I find the diagram and get a local print shop to print them up

the bigger the diagram the easier to trace

Stan - I very much agree! The same for tracing on the computer - a higher resolution image is analogous to having a larger physical image to trace.
