Bought a file and can't make it work

Post by Blingnsfab »

So I bought a file from etsy before I found this site. I am trying to add a name and borders to the file I bought. I'm having a very hard time with this.
20240316_110503.jpg
starts from left to right. By the time it gets to the right I can't even see the image. Nodes will come up but I can't see it. I'm using inkscape then when going to the optimum program on the cnc table it's a mess. -I'm about to bring my pet alligator in to eat my computer- haha. Tia.

Here is the file you started with. I opened with Design Edge and joined/linked it to connect all the individual path segments in to continuous paths. Then I imported this file to Inkscape to use to create the frame and letters with truck inside the frame. I'm not sure why you were making several copies as you showed in your original screen shot image. In Inkscape, you can also work in "Outline View" - as shown in the last image below. In "Outline View", all lines will have a constant fixed line width, regardless of the actual stoke width setting as shown in "Normal View".
