DHC2 manual

Post by apage37 »

Hi everyone. Looking for a copy of the manual for the Plasmacam DHC2. We have had our table stored for 3 years since we moved and now finally have a place to get it up and running again. We have the software disc, but cannot locate the original manual. Mainly looking for information on how to convert files. Hoping someone has a pdf of the manual that you can send.

I assume you are looking for the Video Manual. You can order a replacement copy for $10 at the Plasmacam Owner's Community forum.

Thank you! The tutorial part you sent is helpful! We are also looking for the part of the manual that helps with configurations. We have the machine up and running, but it isn't recognizing the digital height or firing the torch. Thinking the parallel port settings are wrong. Hexadecimal address is 378 and will only run when 'PS/2 emulation' is selected and 'Low-voltage port' is checked. Any suggestions?

Oh, heck! You are only 98 miles away from me! I like to drop in on table owners (with advanced notice) to help them with problems like this.

It the machine is "up and running" - meaning that you are able to manually jog the table around using the arrows on the controller keypad, then you are fine with your parallel port. Either of the port settings you mention will work fine. If the torch won't fire (manual torch) make sure you have installed the Plasmacam Torch Control cable properly following the instructions in the Video Manual, make sure the torch trigger is tied closed, make sure the torch control cable is properly plugged into the controller, and make sure you have sufficient air pressure to the plasma cutter. If this is the first time you are using the table, then after you wire in the Plasmacam Torch Control cable you need to perform the voltage and trigger tests as described in the Video Manual Chapter 4. If you don't already have the Video Manual, then go ahead and order one before you proceed any further, as improperly installing the torch control cable may result in damage to the controller.

Assuming you have Advanced Height Control, your settings tab should look something like this.

If you only have basic Height Control (no ohmic sensing), then select "Stall on material to zero" or "From previous location/cut height" for your Pierce Height Reference.

You have not said what plasma cutter you have, or if you are using machine torch or hand torch. If you happen to be using one of the Hypertherm Duramax or Sync cutters with a machine torch, then you will need the CPC port upgrade (if you don't already have it) along with the proper torch control cable - available from Robert Johnson (Learn Plasmacam) or Jim Colt.
