Vietnam Veteran Commissioned Huey Helicopter
Earlier this fall I had a Vietnam Veteran request a very special sign commemorating his service with the 170th AHC (Assault Helicopter Company). He wanted the exact Huey Helicopter Model that he flew with flying into an action scene. Only problem was he didn't have a picture of it. I scoured the internet and ran into quite a few problems finding the specific model. Eventually I found an AHC website and contacted a few of the gentlemen that run the site. They assisted me in finding his chopper. Placing that into an action scene proved to be a test of my graphic design skills (12+ professional years). After countless hours of searching and designing I was finally able to wrap up the job last night and my customer will be here to pick it up in a few short hours. A special Thank You to Bill at Steel-FX for his awesome product, couldn't have picked a better finish for this sign.

That is unbelievably beautiful . . . .
As you can see I have been struggling to produce a HUEY for a friend of 40+ years who did two tours as a HUEY pilot . . .

I guess we can safely say I have a long way to go in the skill department . . .
Looks fantastic . . .I'll be cutting mine today to see if it works out . . .
Thanks for posting . . . maybe I can get close for a follow up XMAS present next year . . .

The distinctive sound of that Huey is a sound never to be forgotten by anyone that served in RVN.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. Murray, unfortunately I wasn't there when he picked it up, I had to take my daughter to see Santa, but my mom gave it to him and said he was near tears. He loved it! Thank you again & Happy Holidays everyone!
