Last request from a friend who passed...
This was a last request made by a friend of mine who passed from leukemia a few weeks ago.... He wanted me to present it to his daughter at his memorial... It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, Dave was a great friend and I miss him a lot, he used to hang out at the shop after his chemo treatments and try to knock the dross off certain pieces. His favorite was always the tree of life, so he asked me to make a special one for his daughter..... They were inseparable... There wasn't a dry eye on the whole place...

Beautiful work
coincidentally I just cut a 48 in tree of life split in half for a friend who is building a gate
Again, my sympathies

Re: Last request from a friend who passed...
Thanks for all the condolences, it really means a lot! Dave was the kind of friend that you could always count on no matter what.... Nothing could stop him from doing what he wanted, or what needed to be done. A lot of people couldn't understand his ways, he'd be ready to kick your ass one minute, and helping you remodel your house the next.... He lived life to the fullest even while he was battling the leukemia. He is the reason I got into relay for life and contributing so much to cancer research.... I am saddened by his passing, but there's a lot that I benefitted from his friendship that will last three rest of my time here! Make the most of every day my friends, life truly is short, and we don't know how short until it's over!
