My compressor is a 150 psi 6hp 30gal tank feeding into a 75gal tank which feeds torch.
Compressor flows 8.6 scfm @ 40 psi = 516 scfh
6.4 scfm @ 90 psi = 384 scfh
My question is: What to set gauge at on the 75 gal tank that feeds torch?
Ex: Cutting 1/4 Mild Steel which requires 340 scfh Hot and 470 scfh Cold.

Re: Rookie Air Flow Question
Stick a guage right at the inlet to your plasma cutter.
Use the biggest torch nozzle and do an air flow test with the plasma cutter regulator turned right up. Under these conditions when the air pressure at the plasma cutter inlet is within the book specs you shouldn't need to up the pressure any higher.
Filters, etc all cause some pressure drop. That's why you have to check the pressure at the plasma cutter itself.
