Simple Copy Protection?

The practice of doing a screen capture of an image, dragging it into Inkscape or any of a dozen other software programs, and reproducing the image, usually without paying for it, makes art creators unwilling to create and post new art on the Internet.

When you make copies of an ORIGINAL image, and you place three or four of them nearly, but not EXACTLY on top of one another, while deleting different details from each copy, it make it very difficult to auto trace the image. Do you agree?

When people actually BUY the file, that is great. Some people just do a screen capture, and trace it in Inkscape, and reproduce the metal art piece without any compensation to the original author of the design. It is a weird attitude shared by many ... "Why PAY for it, when I can just TAKE it?"

I am only suggesting a way to present an image on the Net that is not easily traced using software.

You can lay a transparent grid over an object as well to make their day not so fun..

Oh I was just saying I've had people buy a file on etsy to have me cut.. 10000 nodes removed later and it's actually a cut file. Your right they Google black and white clip art.. save image.. quick trace on Inkscape and off to etsy to sell as a premium designed file
