Resizing all holes in a drawing?

Post by Joe Jones »

The question: Can you resize all of the holes in a drawing simultaneously?

Actually, I forgot about the ability to convert CUT PATHS to open and closed paths!

As I said over on the owner community - well done. That's a great, outside the box trick! It will be less handy if you have many other holes in the drawing unless you spend some time grouping and moving things around but definitely something to tuck back and analyze which method would be faster, offset or this!

You are correct, Robert! If there are many holes of different sizes, you would have to GROUP the holes of the same size (using VIEW>SELECT>) in order to only change THOSE holes to a new size. Otherwise you would offset ALL holes (and other shapes, squares, stars, triangles, etc.) using the process in the video. Good call!

My assumption was that the holes were all for pop rivets, as the OP stated, so the process would work for THAT. But one must be careful not to resize ALL closed paths in a drawing.
