Adding NPN proximity switches to table i/o board?

Post by Tristar500 » Mon Nov 20, 2023 5:46 pm

My machine came with no homing /limit switches.
I'd like to add this to the machine.

I could us a relay to accomplish this but wondering if I can just use the 12-36VDC signal coming from the proximity sensor?

Thanks in advance!

There's a diagram in the candcnc manual that shows how to use proximity sensors for homes. You have to use an external power source if I remember correctly.

I added proximity sensors to my DIY table and here is some info that may help. They are mostly the same Electronics just different mounting for the 2 types.
