Thanks for the info, David. I really appreciate it. I was also interested in what the "in line" fans would look like after some use so you answered that for me too. I have a water tray that stops a lot of the smoke but I don't want any in my shop so the downdraft should cure that.

Its not real quite but havent hooked to the table yet. I am building a new table right now to use it on because my table has to have rails because it has bearings on all sides instead of a v rail. New table will have v rails that way everything will be flush.Going to build a 45 degree angle bottom to slide parts to a sealed door and have expanded metal in the bottom to have a dust catch.
