Water Table

Post by Brikahuna »

Changing out fluid in a water table and wondered if it would be beneficial to fluid film the steel grates/bars that sit in the water.

I'm guessing that stuff is flammable. You're probably going to end up with a nice flammable oil slick on top of your water. I don't think that would be wise. Your water table fluid should prevent rusting.

I use Hangstefer's S-500 water soluble coolant in my water table/tray. This is the same stuff I use in my cnc machining centers. Not flammable, and it helps to prevent rust and corrosion.
