New Multimatic 255

Post by cutnweld »

Hi all, I thought I would mention to whom it may concern, that if you are in the market for a new welder to give the multimatic 255 a serious consideration. I bought mine new this spring, as well as a 30a spoolgun for aluminum, and I have not regretted the purchase. It welds smooth as butter, and the pulse on aluminum makes a great looking weld, and fast. The autoset works great for a starting point, you can tweak it from there to where you like it. I have come to like the pulse mig option as well, tho you need to run 90/10 gas in order for it to work correctly. It will output 350 amps in mig mode, and 275 amps in stick, which is enough that you can even use it for light ("3/16") carbon arc gouging. All in all 6 stars out of 5. Best wishes
