Welcome aboard Sean! If you are planning on getting into cnc plasma cutting then you've come to the right place. Plenty of information here on design software, cad and controllers, height controls, DIY and turnkey cutting tables, as well as a plethora of cut ready files. What size table are you planning, and any ideas on potential programs you might use for design and cam. Inkscape/Sheetcam is a very popular combination, and there are specific sections on this forum for both. You can use the search tool to look for specific information, or feel free to ask any questions you might have - there are plenty of folks here willing to try to help.

Hey all,
I do not have a table yet. I am thinking of getting a Langmuir crossfire pro. i just want to see if i have the aptitude for this before I get to crazy. I live in N VT just east of Burlington in a small town called Westford.

Langmuir has a great reputation for making some very nice tables. Let us know if you need more information about them or any other options.

Welcome again, you're not far from us here in Lebanon, NH. If you decide to look at Hypetherm for your plasma source feel free to get in touch with me through DM and we can discuss or I can get you the information you are looking for from others here.

Good call. I find most people struggle with designing what they want to cut more so than actually running the machine and cutting the parts. Luckily this is something you can do before spending any money at all to prove your aptitude to yourself.

If you are interested in a Langmuir, I believe they suggest Fusion 360 to design the parts and Fusion 360 is free for folks like your self. You can download it to your PC and go through some of the Langmuir tutorials just as you would had you already spent the money on the equipment.

If you have any questions there is always plenty of help from the PSpider community here. Best of luck and have fun!
