Optic tracer for Plasma cutting

Post by Armorattachments »

hello Team
I would like an understanding of the optic tracer i'm looking to get some help with Setting one up. I have purchased "Super Eyes" microscopic camera and i also have purchased mach 3 controller for my table. im Wondering if i can have step by step help on how to get it all set up.... what cable is that best kind to run to the camera as some cables cause problems. Does anyone know of any "how to Vidoes" that may help me out? I would appreciate any help.
Thanks in advanced - Dave

There has been post here in the past with a type of optical tracing, you may use the search function in the upper right to have a look around. I would also suggest searching in YouTube, there is so much info posted there. From your post it sounds like you still need to get some software that will do what you want. I know that SheetCam has a optional package called "Scannything" that does optical type work.

These are the items I purchased for my auto tracing setup and it works great. You want the camera and lamp linked to below. I tried others first and they did not work well at all. I use my auto tracer on my Avid CNC router table which came with Mach3. I have scanned in wrenches, metal pieces, wood pieces, drawings, templates, and all work very well once the camera and software are setup and dialed in.

When you purchase your Scanything software, Les normally provides written directions on how to setup and adjust. Let me know when you get to that point and if you don't get them, I will find my notes and give you a copy.

Good luck,
David
