Newbie to CNC plasma

Post by Pelon »

I've been using a handheld plasma cutter for years, finally bit the bullet and bought a Langmuir System with a Razorweld45 cutter.
Still waiting for it to arrive!
Excited to start learning how to use it.

Welcome to the forum Michael! Langmuir makes some great cutting tables. Which model did you order? Many of the Langmuir users are doing their cad/cam/post process with Fusion 360, and Langmuir has a great set of Fusion 360 tutorial videos which I watched back when I was first learning Fusion 360.

What sorts of projects are you planning to create using your new table? If you are doing some artistic pieces, then Inkscape is also a good choice. Many use the Inkscape/Sheetcam combination for their cad/cam - but you can also export from Inkscape as dxf and import to Fusion 360 for your cam/post process.

Good luck with your new venture, and we will look forward to hearing more about your experience with your table once you get up and running.

Sounds cool getting a nice table to get your feet wet! What plans do you have immediately following once you’ve learned how to use it?
