IGBT needed
anyone used an aftermarket IGBT to replace 16X1721 thermal dynamics cutmaster 50, appears to be obsolete

The trick is to find an IGBT with the same or better volts and amp specs and the same mounting "footprint " It gets trickier if the signal cables for the trigger are in one connector so the lug pattern has to match. I had to do it on a Pick and Place machine about a year ago. Figuring out the control wires was the hardest part. If you can get a spec sheet on the one that is in there it will go a long ways in finding a replacement. If there are two replace them both.
