help with downloads

new to plasma when i click download in free files i can not get them to download.Click down load nothing happens.

Check your downloads folder. If nothing is happening different on screen then they must be downloading to a folder on your PC and downloads is likley it unless you specified otherwise.

Just to check this out, I tried downloading a couple of files from a couple of different threads, and none of them would down load. (at least that I could see) I have 2 monitors on my computer, and don't always turn the 2nd one on. For some reason, once in a while the computer decides to open dialog boxes (like the download dialog) on the secondary monitor, which was what happened this time.
So in answer to Bantems question, do you have more than one monitor on your system?
