Running Trucut series one with powermax 105,
When cutting any type of metal (mild steel 3/8 and allumminum were tested on) the torch beguins to cut a second or two late, and then does not complete the cut and leaves burn marks of the part outline on the metal. The machine usually does the inside and then fails to cut the outside when the torch does not come back on (I can still hear the air coming out of the torch when this happens, but no plasma follows).
Does anyone known how ot fix this, or what the issue is that needs to be fixed?

Re: Metal not cutting?
It sounds like you need more pierce delay time. This will allow the torch to remain at the start point long enough to actually pierce the material before the torch begins to move on the XY axis. I would get that resolved first then move on to the next problem, one thing at a time.
When you get to the second problem when it doesn't fire for the outside cut do you get an error code on the lcd screen of the 105?

there is no error code that ive been able to catch on the LCD for the 105, I had previously had someone watching the LCD while the problem was happening and nothing had shown up.

Question you say you hear air coming from the torch but no arc, does the air stop after the first cut operation before it tries the second cut.
Or if the air part of the cooling from the first cut operation.
