Piercing lead-in notch problem
I have a PlasmaCam DHC2 and HT 45XP with fine cut consumables. This photo is 16 gauge mild steel. Where ever my torch pierces and leads into the cut it is over cutting and leaving this notch. I'm pretty new to this craft so am looking for help on what is causing this. I input HT's guide numbers for speed and amps but there is allot of parameter's not coved. Any is appreciated.

Re: Piercing lead-in notch problem
Have you tried longer lead ins, reducing the pierce time? If you are using SheetCam you can change the location of the start pierce and the direction it enters the cut line.

With 16 ga steel you don't really need much of a piece delay. What do you have yours set at?
