I just got to #12. Interesting information to say the least. How are y'all fixing the issue?

it's not really and issue that requires fixing. it's just a consequence of plasma cutting.....

it you are running an intelligent THC it will detect the spike in voltage and not dive. the function is generally called anti dive. some THCs are better at integrating it than others.

qtplasmac is top notch as it's as near to real-time as you can get.

the neuronthc also has it and so does the minithc.

https://neuroncnc.com/products/002 - please note that this is made in the Crimea (Sevastopol), you may have a problem with shipping these days, given it will be shipped via Moscow.

https://minithc.com/ there is a bit of a grey area on this one as this is made in Russia, and again because of the current issues it may be delayed. I know they are also sold via amazon + ebay too..... still made in Russia.

I have and do own both, but I no longer use them, they are sat on the shelf.

LinuxCNC + QTPlasmaC is the only way to go for me now, I should have stuck with it years ago as I spent a lot of time dabbling with Mach3, Mach4, and UCCNC.

the other THC that is highly rated is the PriceCNC AVHC, it's availability is a bit limited, hence people have switched to other offerings.

I was originally wanting to go with the price CNC avhc but had problems finding any available for sale outside of used units that would have limited to no support from manufacture.

Don’t have a THC board or controller board just yet.

here is a really good document, some of it you may know, but some of it you may not... just read it all take your time

http://linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/pla ... rimer.html

this is another document, yes it is specifically for qtplasmac, just ignore that for a moment. skim through it to understand the functions and features that a fully fledged plasma cutter CNC controller/ machine should have. then compare it to whatever you currently run. then you can appreciate what you have and what is available.

linuxcnc is not easy, there is a lot of lingo behind it, and it does have a steep learning curve when you want to install something and it does not just install. yes I know that Debian will soon fully include linuxcnc

http://linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/pla ... asmac.html

sure it may be difficult, but so was learning to walk, read, write, etc.....
I wanted to start another thread and link it in here so this thread can stay on toppic. I just have not got around to it yet. I’ll have to go back and read that first link to linuxcnc again as it raised a couple of questions I already forgot about :/. Reading late at night and too tired to start another thread at the time.
